Yuri(Georgios) Rusinov(Lazaridis)

"Form and Machine series" charcoal on paper A2

Yuri Rusinov is a contemporary visual artist based currently in Umeå Sweden. His current work explores themes of intuitive thinking, time/fate/free will, and geometries of power and prohibition through mixed media installations, painting, sculpture, games, film as well as digital art. Yuri’s practice initiates from traditional techniques and escalates to discovering new mediums and techniques for every series of works. Throughout his work the Jungian archetypal notion of psychopomps play a big influence. He is creating dynamic experiences that challenge perceptions of time/space, reflective identity, as well as ephemeral fleeting events dominated by a sense of non-places and the dynamics of power and its perception.
